What to expect
We are a church that gathers each Sunday to re-centre our lives on Jesus and his Word. Ford’s Lane is a friendly, welcoming church where you (and your kids) don’t have to put your best foot forward to feel at home.
9:45am – Family Worship Service
Our family worship is about 75 minutes. You can expect singing (traditional and contemporary worship songs), prayer, Bible reading, a 25-30 minute talk from the Bible, and communion twice a month.
After the service, we gather in the church hall for tea and coffee to encourage and get to know each other better.
11:45am Communion (2nd , 4th and 5th Sundays)
We have an open communion service 2-3 times a month at which believers are invited to share Bible verses or choose worship songs to encourage one another.
6:30pm Service
Our services offer the chance for worship, prayer, teaching and mission updates.
After our morning and evening services, people are available at the front of the church to talk, listen and pray.
Kids on Sundays
We love kids because Jesus does. That means there’s no need to worry if they’re a little noisy or won’t sit still. We want the children to feel that this is their church and they belong here. That is why we have them in together with the adults for the first 20 minutes or so of the service before going to their own classes.
We have 3 different age-appropriate classes led by teachers who have all had safeguarding training.
- Creche – 0-4 yr olds can join for activities, crafts, songs and Bible stories.
We want our kids to know that God is good and they are loved. - Sunday Club – 5-11 yr olds – games, fun and learning how the Bible story shapes our lives. We want our kids to come to know a real relationship with Jesus.
- Loft – 11-15yr olds. Engaging discussions, fun activities, getting to know God and how he speaks into everyday life through the Bible. We want our youth to know how Jesus enables us to live well for him in a challenging world.
