We are so grateful for the generous giving of our members which enables us to continue to do this.

As a church, we recognize the biblical principle of giving, setting aside a proportion of one’s income to support the work of the church, but we don’t insist on any fixed percentage of the income; we ask that people give as they are able. We believe our giving flows out of hearts that are touched by the generosity of God towards us.

The Bible shows how the early churches responded to the gospel by giving: to those in need, such as widows and orphans (e.g. Acts 6), to churches (e.g. 2 Corinthians 8-9) and to individual workers (e.g. Philippians 4).

How to Give

We do not usually take up an offering during services except for specific causes such as the earthquake relief in Turkey and Syria.

Members may make donations via:

Offering boxes

Cash or cheques may be posted in boxes at the rear of the church.

Direct Transfer/ Standing Order

Electronic giving is our preferred method. You may set up a standing order at your bank or building society or make a transfer to our RBS account: for details of the account please contact [email protected]

If you set up a recurring payment, please ensure the ‘reference’ field is filled out with your name so that we can identify you.

Gift Aid

As a registered charity the Church benefits from the Government’s Gift Aid provision. Members who pay UK Income tax may sign up for Gift Aid with the church, this allows us to claim back from the Government the tax that the member has paid.

Stewardship

There are several organisations such as Stewardship (https://www.stewardship.org.uk ) that exist to enable their members to manage their giving to charities of their choice. You make regular donations to the organisation which, at your request, will then make either regular donations or one-off donations to the church.
